CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
Field observation and testing services are a vital part of the geotechnical engineer's services on a project as they permit the opportunity to verify the actual subsurface conditions encountered during construction and make any necessary modifications to the geotechnical design recommendations. It also provides a means of evaluating the contractor's compliance in performing the earthwork, foundation installation and other soil engineering-related phases of the construction with the project plans and specifications and the recommendations of the geotechnical report.
During construction, our experienced field personnel can provide the necessary overview and testing to minimize earthwork related problems and avoid delays, maintaining close communication with our office and applying problem solving at the level where it is most effective. Our services during the construction phase include field observation and testing of all of the geotechnical related work including site preparation and grading, building slab and foundation installation , underground utility installation and trench backfilling, concrete flatwork placement, retaining wall installation and wall backfilling, and flexible and concrete pavement construction. |
