Cleary Consultants, Inc. offers a wide range of geotechnical services for new developments as well as existing projects affected by geotechnical problems. The primary focus of our services is on the following disciplines:

• Geotechnical Studies
  CCI has provided geotechnical investigation and construction services for a wide range of new building projects including school facilities, commercial and industrial structures, fire stations,  parking structures and  public works developments. Our firm works closely with the owner, architect and other design team members in evaluating the relevant site conditions and developing cost-effective geotechnical recommendations for the project design. Our scope of services varies based on the needs and complexity of the project, but generally includes geotechnical analyses during design.
• Construction Services
  Field observation and testing services are a vital part of the geotechnical engineer's services on a project as they permit the opportunity to verify the actual subsurface conditions encountered during construction and make any necessary modifications to the geotechnical design recommendations. It also provides a means of evaluating the contractor's compliance in performing the earthwork, foundation installation and other soil engineering-related phases of the construction with the project plans and specifications and the recommendations of the geotechnical report.
• Laboratory Testing
  CCI performs  testing of soil and rock materials at our in-house laboratory facility which provides space for soil classification and testing; sample set up and preparation; and storage of drilling equipment, soil samples and various field and laboratory equipment and supplies. Our laboratory is accredited through annual ASTM certification  and is also accredited by the State of California, Division of the State Architect, LEA #194.  As part of our commitment to excellence and quality, our testing equipment is maintained and operated  by our highly trained and qualified technical staff.  Our laboratory test procedures conform to ASTM standards and the equipment receives annual quality assurance calibration.
• Computer Support
  CCI relies extensively on computer support for engineering analysis, processing of laboratory test data, and office applications.  Our office computer network has high speed internet access and e-mail for efficient and rapid information processing and response. Our professionals utilize various specialized engineering programs to create engineering drawings, develop foundation recommendations and code based and site-specific seismic design criteria, and assess slope stability and potential seismic hazards for sites throughout the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California.
